28 land conflicts in South Kalimantan since 2008

Campaign Manager of the South Kalimantan Division of the Indonesian Forum for Environment, Dwitho Frasetiandy said on Thursday that there are at least 28 land conflict cases that took place in South Kalimantan from 2008, all of them related to palm oil and coal mining concessions.

"We are currently dealing with 8 cases, six of them related with palm oil concessions," he said in Banjarmasin.
