Jakarta-listed plantation company PT JA Wattie plans to issue bonds worth less than Rp 500 billion in September of this year.

Company Finance Director Bambang S. Ibrahim told Kontan online on Wednesday that the proceeds will be used to help finance expansion programs including land acquisition.

“We’re currently in the initial stage.  We’ll ask for Pefindo (rating agency) to make a rating.  And then we’ll conduct a beauty contest to select the underwriters,” Bambang said.

He added that the company is also seeking bank loans to help finance acquisition plans. (rei)
